SAN DIEGO (Friday, Jan. 3, 2025) – San Diego FC (SDFC) is proud to announce a partnership with Vaqueros FC to deepen both Club’s commitment to youth development in San Diego County and to introduce Major League Soccer to the Vaqueros community.

Vaqueros FC has been operating in San Diego County for more than 40 years and currently has 27 boy’s and girl’s teams.

“San Diego FC is pioneering new ideas to implement amazing grassroots projects with its community members, and we are proud to become one of their founding partners in this Youth Club Partnership program,” said Vaqueros FC Executive Director Lev Kirshner. “We look forward to cultivating our relationship so both parties benefit and grow from this partnership.”

As SDFC kicks off its inaugural season in MLS in 2025, this partnership greatly benefits both Club’s long-standing passion for the game in San Diego County, which is widely known as a hotbed for players, fans and fan engagement.

“Vaqueros FC has long been a community-driven organization with a deep commitment to grassroots soccer and player development,” said Bill Miles, COO of SDFC and Executive Director of SDFC’s Right to Dream Academy. “We’re excited to partner with Vaqueros FC to continue fostering a passion for the game and creating opportunities for youth players to shine throughout San Diego.”

SDFC’s objective is to support Vaqueros FC with programming that enhances Vaqueros’ strengths and provides increased opportunities for players and families to experience the game. SDFC and Vaqueros will be in touch with their communities soon with more details about the partnership.

Both Clubs look forward to growing the game in San Diego and beyond. Please join SDFC in 2025 at Snapdragon Stadium to celebrate SDFC’s historical inaugural season! To check out SDFC’s 2025 schedule, please visit SanDiegoFC.com/schedule.
